傅捷陞 (Jason Fuh), 男中音, 甫獲美國俄亥俄州立大學 (Ohio State University) 聲 樂博士學位。擁有美國克里夫蘭音樂學院 (the Cleveland Institute of Music) 聲樂學士、碩士, 及藝術家文憑。 師事 George Vassos, Elizabeth Unis Chesko, Mel Hakola, 及 Robin Rice 。赴美之前, 在台受葉娜心啟蒙, 並師事李秀芬。

身為自由約聘演唱家, 最近首演了 Arturo Fernandez 的獨幕室內歌劇愛德華·得畢的獨白 (The Strange Monologues of Edward Derby)。曾受邀回母校歌劇院 (CIM Opera Theater) 客席主演歌劇費加洛婚禮 (Le Nozze di Figaro) 的伯爵 (Count Almavia), 及強尼史基基 (Gianni Schicchi) 的領銜主角 (Gianni Schicchi)。 另與克里夫蘭歌劇院巡迴團 (Cleveland Opera On Tour) 主演賽維亞理髮師 (The Barber of Seville) 的費加洛 (Figaro)。其他歌劇角色包括: 波希米亞人 (La Bohème) 的 Marcello 及 Schaunard、馬儂 (Manon) 的 Brétigny、魔笛 (Die Zauberflöte) 的 Papageno、亞伯特·海茹英 (Albert Herring ) 的 Vicar 、及現代歌劇德立馬克的神父 (The Abbot of Drimock) 的領銜主角 (the Abbot)... 等等。 合作演出歌劇及音樂會的團體包括: 克里夫蘭歌劇院 (Cleveland Opera)、 克里夫蘭抒情歌劇院 (Lyric Opera Cleveland)、克里夫蘭管弦樂團 (Cleveland Orchestra)、克里夫蘭音樂學院管弦樂團 (CIM Orchestra)、克里夫蘭州立大學管弦樂團 (Cleveland State University Orchestra)、 布雷瓦得音樂節 (Brevard Music Festival) 及 Intermezzo Opera。

除了經常在教堂駐任獨唱之外，他在台美兩地舉辦多場獨唱會, 潛心於藝術歌曲的演唱藝術。並定期於 Cleveland Messiah Chorus 的 Messiah 清唱劇年度演出中擔任 獨唱。他曾榮獲 Elizabeth Stoeckler Stevens 德文藝術歌曲獎、 Irvin Bushman 聲樂藝術獎、及 Darius Milhaud 作品表演賽第一名。 他曾兩度獲選參加克里夫蘭藝術 歌曲音樂節 (Art Song Festival)。也曾受邀於紐約市卡內基音樂廳的“華人之星獨唱獨奏音樂會”中演出。

Jason Fuh, baritone, holds D.M.A. (Doctor of Musical Arts) from the Ohio Sate University, as well as B.M., M.M., and Artist Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music. He has studied with George Vassos, Elizabeth Unis Chesko, Mel Hakola, Syou- fen Lee, Na-sin Yeh, and currently Robin Rice.

As a freelance singer, Dr. Fuh recently premiered the title role in The Strange Monologues of Edward Derby, a chamber opera by Arturo Fernandez. He has also returned to CIM Opera Theater as a guest artist singing Count Almavia in Le Nozze di Figaro, and the title role in Gianni Schicchi. He has also appeared as Figaro in The Barber of Seville with the Cleveland Opera On Tour. Among other opera roles included: Marcello and Schaunard in La Bohème, Brétigny in Manon, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, the Vicar in Albert Herring and the title role in The Abbot of Drimock. He has performed operas and concerts with Cleveland Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland, Cleveland Orchestra, CIM Orchestra, Cleveland State University Orchestra, Brevard Music Festival and Intermezzo Opera.

Besides being seen on opera and concert stage, Dr. Fuh appeared as a soloist annually in the Handel’s Messiah performance with Cleveland Messiah Chorus. He regularly gives recitals, in both U.S. and Taiwan, devoting himself to art song recitals. He was invited to perform in the “Chinese Future Stars Recital” held in Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Dr. Fuh was awarded the Elizabeth Stoeckler Stevens Prize in Lieder, the Irvin Bushman Memorial Prize in Vocal Artistry and the First Place of the Darius Milhaud Performance Prize Competition. He was twice selected to participate in the Art Song Festival in Cleveland. Dr. Fuh maintains a private voice studio and has served as a soloist at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Beachwood, Ohio, the Church of the Covenant and St. Paul Shrine in Cleveland, Ohio.
